About Us and Our Values
Good Energy Alliance is an emerging, woman-owned* consulting firm focused on providing a range of professional services to its clients—including planning, reporting, research, analytics and special projects. We also provide short-term staff augmentation to support your evolving business. Our vision is to eliminate the motherhood penalty by creating an alternative employment opportunity for high-performing consultants in the utility and energy industries.
Some things that are important to us include:
Our people: Our background in the utility industry ranges from board-level to customer program design and delivery, including experience in beneficial electrification, energy efficiency and demand response. We have carefully curated a network of mid-to-senior-level professionals who are smart, hard-working, results-oriented and, frankly, fun. Our network extends to individuals with evaluation, policy, engineering and digital expertise. If we need additional support or functionality, we can phone a friend to jump in and help.
Our diversity: Diversity and representation matter. We seek to work and partner with diverse-owned and small businesses to deliver our services. Diversity not only supports our client’s workforce development goals, but it strengthens and improves our results.
Our pricing: The Good Energy Alliance model is designed to be fair to both our clients and consultants. Unlike many consultancies, we run lean and have low overhead and margin requirements. We deliver results quickly in order to keep your momentum going. We tackle problems by using a decision-support framework; we define your ideal outcome or objective, and back into the most efficient approach to get there. We iterate to build on results and help you make incremental progress. We won’t waste your time and money over-producing presentations or over-analyzing data; that’s not fun for us or cost-effective for you.
Our clients: We are focused on building this business with a small group of trusted clients who are inspired by our vision to eliminate the motherhood penalty and consider ways to integrate caretakers into the definition of “diverse businesses".” We are looking for long-term partners on this journey to help carve out discrete projects that may scale over time. If you are inspired by these ideas and/or have an initiative or team that requires a breath of fresh air, holler. Our energy is real good and we are ready to lend a hand in-service to our mission.
